In 2009 in Roskilde (Denmark) a group of metal heads came together to play some Viking folk metal. It later evolved into Vanir. A lot has happened since then. Both when it comes to the band and the band’s visual and musical soundscape.

Nowadays Vanir is one of Denmark’s most well-known and prominent Viking melodic death metal bands. The group has, since it’s inception, released six full-length albums very well received by the media and the avid supporters of the genre.
